Since joining the Autism Academy for Education and Development (AAED) in 2016, Kalona Newcomb has been an instrumental figure in shaping the future growth and strategic direction of the organization as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. In her pivotal role as Director of Therapy Services, Kalona oversees the delivery of high-quality speech and occupational therapy across all five AAED campuses, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met with excellence.
Kalona's academic foundation is solid, with a Bachelor's degree in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences, complemented by a Master's degree in Business Administration. This unique combination of healthcare expertise and business acumen has empowered her to make significant contributions to the field of developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorders (ASD). With over a decade of experience, Kalona's career has been dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and adults affected by ASD.
